Great to get our GLBT group here at Cañada off to a solid start with pizza, a warm welcome from Cañada College President Mohr and a small but enthusiastic group of students, faculty and staff. We are hosting a table at Club Fair today from noon to 2:00. Come by and say hello.

Cañada, Skyline, and CSM are in the GLBT Pride Parade this Sunday, June 28 in San Francisco! Come join us and please spread the word with students. Cañada’s Gay Straight Alliance is hoping you’ll help us.
Details:
· We will line up at 10:00 am on Spear between Howard and Folsom in Assembly Area "H."
· We are Number 047.
· Embarcadero Station is the closest BART station.
· My cell is (415) 845-0536 if you have questions or can’t find us.

Supreme Court Decision: Bad; Follow Up Meeting: Good!
We had a wonderful turn out at our special meeting on Tuesday, May 26 to discuss the California Supreme Court's decision on Proposition 8.
Members of the college community shared their ideas, thoughts and feelings, including students, staff, faculty and President Mohr, who encouraged us not to be patient but rather to be driven, and to take a scholarly approach to the issues. Let's take this (very expected) set back and turn it into fuel for the next battle. We'll win eventually!
